Parrot Gets Parking Ticket
ATHENS - A traffic policeman in the Greek town of Patras reckoned that a parrot was obstructing a pavement on his beat, and promptly gave it a ticket.
The feathered offender was perched outside a pet shop on a stand every morning by his owner.

The shopkeeper complained that the policeman had not ticketed nearby illegally parked cars, but was told he had only been assigned to get the bird, called Coco.

Greek television showed the owner handing the ticket to the parrot, who tore it up.
